Erik is married to Sarah, and together they have two adult children, Casey and Kayla. He has served in a variety of roles throughout his life and ministry, including Student Minister, Church Planter, Church Replanter, Podcast Co-host, U.S. Navy Submariner, High School Teacher, Coach and MMA Fighter.

He grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and became a Christian at the age of 13. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. A veteran of the United States Navy submarine force, Erik has served as a youth pastor, young adult pastor, lead pastor, and founding pastor of Solid Rock Fellowship in Kelso, Washington. He is also a contributing author to Wounded by Sheep: Tales of Pastoral Pain & Redemption.

Outside of ministry, Erik is a devoted Star Wars enthusiast and sports fan. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching college football (Go Gamecocks!), and playing softball.
